Reading Quotes from Two Wise Men

René Descartes

I love reading, especially when I'm reading something that teaches me something new.

Novels, biographies, non-fiction ... you can learn alot just by reading widely and often.

So here are two of my favourite reading quotes:

"No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance." - Confucius

"The reading of all good books is like conversation with the finest men of the past centuries." - Descartes

Thanks so much for these reading quotes Jess. They're fantastic!

For those who may not be familiar with Descartes, he was a French philosopher who lived from 1596 until 1650. He's often called the "Father of Modern Philosophy" and many of his ideas are still talked about and written about today.

Confucius lived from 551 BCE until 479 BCE. He was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician and philosopher and, like Descartes, is still quoted today.

Thanks again Jess for two great reading quotes!
