Mem Fox books are a delight to read aloud and are great for reading aloud to your little one, even if he or she is still a baby.

Start early - in the first few days of your baby's life, if you can - and the gentle rhythms of Mem's lovely stories will help foster a life-long love of books and reading.

My three children are all at high school now but I have many precious memories of reading Mem's wonderful stories to them when they were small as we snuggled together.

Mem Fox is Australian (like me!) and studied children’s literature at Flinders University in Adelaide.

During the course she wrote the first draft of Possum Magic, her first book, which has now sold over four million copies and is the best selling children’s book ever in Australia.

In addition to writing gorgeous picture books for children, Mem is also passionate about reading aloud and travels the world to talk about the importance of reading to babies and young children.
