'The Hunger Games' is a book for young adults written by American author Suzanne Collins.
It was published for the first time in 2008 and has been very popular with teens, even more so since there's now a film version which is just about to be released around the world.
My 13-year-old daughter read the Hunger Games a few months ago and went on to read the other two books in the trilogy, 'Catching Fire' and 'Mockingjay'.
absolutely loved them, can't stop talking about them and keeps on at me
to read them so she can talk to me about them (I'm in the middle of
another book at the moment but will get to it!)
In the meantime, she's hassled my husband into reading the books on his Kindle and he's half-way through the second book.
He's quite enjoying them and says he can definitely see why they appeal to teenagers so much. My daughter's even encouraged both her grandmothers to read the books and they loved them!
So what's all the fuss about?
I'll let my daughter tell you!
